Tri-County Mennonite Homes is proud to partner with Hospice Care Avon Maitland in hiring for a Volunteer Coordinator.

Hospice Palliative Care is a philosophy of care, which focuses on comfort, quality of life and supporting the precious moments families share as their loved one lives the final chapter of his/her life. Hospice care is not as much about dying as it is about living – living each day and each moment to the fullest. We will be here to help our residents and their family members live each day with dignity, by providing compassionate, end-of-life care in a home-like setting.

Hospice Care Avon Maitland (HCAM) will have two residential hospices – the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice located in Stratford, which will include ten suites (opening with six), and the Huron Residential Hospice in Clinton, which will have four suites. The Stratford-based hospice is expected to open before the end of 2018, while Clinton’s hospice plans to open at the end of March 2018. Additional spaces in the hospices will include family gathering and meal spaces, room for family members to stay overnight if they wish, a bereavement support area, resource library and meeting rooms. We will also grow new outreach programs and play a role in developing a centre of excellence on Hospice Palliative Care for healthcare providers and the families of Perth County and Huron County.

If you enjoy building an organization, creating an effective work environment and making an impact on people’s lives – and are interested in palliative and end-of-life care – this would be a wonderful opportunity for you!
